Citroen Hybrid DS5
The DS5 is Citroens first car to feature a full-hybrid drive train combining a two litre Hdi diesel engine with electric power. The Hybrid 4 technology offers 200bhp, four wheel drive electric power and will come with an automatic six speed gearbox with optimised shift function and stop/start technology.
Co2 emissions are as low as 99g/km, depending on the performance setting selected. The DS5 will, like most other hybrids offer the option of auto select, which will automatically select between electric or diesel power to optimise fuel consumption. Driving with the 27kw(37bhp) electric motor alone, speeds can be achieved up to 37mph.
The front wheels are powered by the Diesel engine while the rear wheels are powered by the electric motor.
