Frankfurt Motor Show

The Peugeot’s 3008 Hybrid uses a simple system to Hybridise a 2.0L HDI four cylinder Diesel with an electric motor. It takes an existing combustion engine model and uses a 27kw electric rear axle. Electronics control the interaction between the front drive and rear electric motor without a single physical link between the two axles.

The 3008 Hybrid technology has four driving modes, Auto, ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle), Sport and 4WD. Performance is rated at 200bhp, with CO2 of 99g/km and fuel economy of 74mpg.

Peugeot 308 HDi Hybrid

Peugeot’s 308 Hybrid Hdi emits just 90g/km of CO2 and reduces fuel consumption on Urban cycle by 58% compared to a standard 308 Hdi.

The 308 is powered by Peugeot’s most efficient parallel hybrid powerplant to date, combined with a 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox.  It has a 110 bhp 1.6 HDi DPFS diesel engine coupled with a 22 bhp electric motor providing a maximum power output of 132 bhp, comparable to that of the 308 with the 2.0 litre HDi DPFS 136 bhp diesel engine. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 83 mpg and 90g/km of CO2 or a reduction of 38% compared to an equivalent 308 diesel HDi model. The parallel Hybrid power train consists of a 1.6 litre Hdi 110bhp diesel engine and an electric motor with a continuous output of 22bhp with 59 lb ft of torque.Hybrid Interior

Peugeot are using as many components as possible from current Peugeot vehicles to ensure competitive pricing of their Hybrid models. This has enabled the number of specific parts associated with producing a Hybrid 308 Hdi to reduce by around 30%.
